Spending time with new peers and staff in a new environment creates a fresh start for everyone and allows for greater growth and independence in a short amount of time.

  • "The Lodge is the BEST part of my summer! I have been going there for 15 years and wish I could go for the whole summer. The counselors and so amazing! My favorite activities are cooking, swimming, boating, arts and crafts and just hanging out with my friends at night. THANK YOU so much to everyone at the Lodge. See you again this summer."

    ~ Emily Dillon, Lodge camper

  • “Camp Anne has been one of the best things that ever happened to my son Alex. He started going to Camp Anne when he was nine, and though it was tough for him at first, he loves it now! Those days in August have taught him independence, self-confidence, and the real joy of summer!“

    ~ Jeff Stimpson, parent

  • "My son looks forward to camping at The Lodge every summer because it gives him independence, friendship, and pure joy. He loves spending time with friends and meeting counselors who come from across the world. Camp is a place where he is fully included, supported, and celebrated for who he is. "

    ~ Karel S Karp, parent

  • “Camp is a serene, peaceful, fun place to be. In addition, you have bright, energetic, dedicated staff, loving what they do. I understand why Camp Anne has taken on a symbol of quality for the AHRC board. Thank you so much!“

    ~ Renese Jones, parent

  • “As for Jordan, we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for him and us. This year Rudy and I took our first vacation in 20 years. This would not have happened if we did not have complete faith in you and the staff at the Lodge. You gave us peace of mind, you went above and beyond to make us feel relaxed - communicating with our son Greg and sending us pictures throughout the 10 days.“

    ~ Lorraine Lettieri, parent

  • “It was very difficult to actually leave Andrew, however your presence and active role in assuring me not only of his safety but his happiness with the activities at camp were key. I must have called a dozen times over the first few days and every time you responded informatively and with a great deal of authentic care and kindness. This was clearly an effort that goes beyond the level of professionalism expected by AHRC New York City.“

    ~ Lisbeth Arce, parent

  • "The two weeks my son spends at The Lodge are the highlight of his year! He counts down the days until camp begins and hopes he’ll see his favorite staff and fellow campers again this year. The staff’s kindness, patience, and professionalism make camp a place where my son can be himself and thrive."

    ~ Paul Berman, parent
